Anne from France joined us in 2018 for our Volunteer Program where she helped with art programs for vulnerable kids. Here is her story…
I’m currently studying in a prep school specialized in business and located in Paris. Within the next two years, I will probably have interviews in some business schools after having passed some written exams. In those interviews, having a job or a humanitarian experience truly add value to a conventional higher education.
Besides, as a kid, I have always dreamed to volunteer abroad. I have always been looking for doing a humanitarian experience. Indeed, it will allow me to involve myself in helping people who are in need. I think every one ever wants to get away from any materialistic purposes to dedicate to moral ones.
Each summer, since I’m 12, I’m travelling to any places around the world (England, the USA, Argentina) either studying English in a summer camp or doing an « exchange » and living for a month with a host family. I thought it was time for me, now that I manage both English and Spanish to do this voluntary work that I have always dreamed about.
