Seda from Turkey joined us in 2019 for our Volunteer Program. Here is her story…
From childhood I have witnessed many people who have underprivileged conditions such as homeless children, physically or psychologically abused women, people who live in poverty or need health care. Witnessing these unfortunate conditions of people and their life stories have always affected me so much and aroused my interest for helping them. As I grow up, helping those people and being part of their recovery have become part of my dreams in life.
As I am an international relations graduate, it is a great opportunity for me to express myself in a different international area and put my academic information into practice through volunteering. Helping others and touching other people’s lives are my passions in life. Every people have different backgrounds and stories; being able to communicate and help them are great life time experiences.
As I have been in international environment many times before such as my summer school in Paris, my travels across Europe and attending conferences held by different institutions or universities I can easily adapt to any international environment. Personally I love international exchange, meeting with new people from different parts of the world; getting to know their cultures and sharing my own.
