Weekend Highlights: February 21 – 24

The glorious and magestic 4-day weekend that we’ve all been waiting for is finally upon us. Buenos Aires comes alive for carnaval, and if you’re not celebrating, you’re not living. Don’t be surprised if you find less people in the streets than usual – most porteños take this long weekend opportunity to travel to the coast.

Take advantage of the glorious activities and have a great L-O-N-G weekend!

Friday, February 21

Verano Plop

Never fear- Fiesta Plop! is QUEER and they’re here to make all your problems disappear. Being sincere, word on the street is this party is the best in the hemisphere. Before you start singing and swinging from the chandelier, the fiesta’s start time is a little unclear. The drag queens won’t usually appear until between 2-3am. So grab yourself a beer and rush to the front of the stage for a premier view of the show.

Freaky Friday Pub Crawl

Remember that random group of Argentine friends you always wanted to meet? Word on the street is they are still waiting for you at Freaky Friday. This group will be crawling through four different bars before finishing the party at a nightclub. Free beer, wine and pizza will be offered during the first hour of the festivities. As always, drink responsibly! 🙂
