Song of the Week: Los Abuelos de la Nada

Looking for a guilty pleasure song to dance along to in your room? Look no further.  Los Abuelos de la Nada (The grandfathers of nothingness) are a group whose name was inspired by a passage in Severo Arcángelo, a book by the Argentine author, Leopoldo Marechal.  This group came out of the Argentine Rock movement (see last week’s song of the week for more information) The lyrics in this song are cheesy in all of the right ways and, inexplicably, the saxophone brings it home with the 80s charm.

The other night I waited for you in the rain for two hours

A thousand hours

Like a dog

and when you arrived you said,

¨Crazy, you´re all wet… I don´t love you anymore¨

ah hah hah

Enjoy 🙂
