The Mente Argentina Photography Program is one of the most flexible and tailor-made programs that we offer. With hands-on training from top instructors, classes are created based on your specific interests as a photographer. From beginners to hobbyists to professional photographers, this program is for everyone interested in exploring Argentina from behind the camera lens.
Buenos Aires is home to many iconic photographers such as Horacio Coppola who throughout his entire life (of over 100 years) captured the essence of Buenos Aires through his photography and filmography. Through our photography program you have the chance to discover Buenos Aires and capture that experience through your own personal lens.
Our Photography Program is designed to accommodate both beginners and those at a more advanced level who wish to expand their technical knowledge and become more experienced photographers. Buenos Aires is a photographer’s paradise with a stunning range of architectural styles, beautiful parks, historic neighborhoods, and a colorful cultural life. The city is also known for its fabulous museums where you can explore and discover the works of local and international artists alike. Additionally, Argentina offers a wide variety of landscapes and culture to explore and photograph as you learn through this program.
Our photography is extremely flexible, can begin any Monday of the year and last any amount of time one week and beyond. With the option for one-on-one instruction, classes can be planned to fit your schedule and thus is a popular option for those looking to participate in various Mente programs simultaneously. Photography classes can be taught in English, so no previous experience in photography or Spanish is necessary but many students do enjoy pairing some Spanish classes with their photography program.
For those who might be looking for a more structured route in a formal institute or the option of earning formal University credit, we also offer a University Photography Program. This program offers you access to one of the top photography institutes in Buenos Aires and training from amazing instructors. This program does however require at least an intermediate level of Spanish.
Beyond your personal exploration of Buenos Aires and any travels around Argentina, Mente Argentina offers several weekly activities to take your learning outside of the classroom. These activities also connect you with the rest of your Mente family, both staff and fellow participants, as you explore the city together. During these outings, 2-3 times per week, we show you our favorite brunch spots, happy hours, theaters, museums, parks and so much more. Check out the Mente Instagram for lots of photos.
